The Alliance for Arab Women

Raising the level of the well-being of families & alleviating the poverty of women groups to access employment through training, job placement & small enterprises.
Spreading health awareness among Egyptian on the grounds emphasizes that a healthy woman means a healthy family the AAW has paid close attention to female genital mutilation, reproduction health.
Encouraging them joining political parties running for elections, AAW assists the beneficiaries in issuing voting & identity cards.
Education is being promoted at the national level since 1994.
The AAW has been cooperating with a large number of schools in the greater Cairo Area & Assuit.
The Alliance has helped many children get enrolled in school, reduce number of school leavers, upgrade school curricula, reduce illiteracy rates & create social supporting services for the eduction process.
Violence against women is being addressed through advocating changes in exiting policies, legislations & programs to be more effective in preventing violence against women.
AAW works on creating community awareness around the problem & its significance.
The Alliance has been dealing with family related issues such as obtaining Egyptian citizenship for children whose Egyptian mothers are married to non-Egyptians, the repercussions of unofficial marriages, realy age marriage & supporting the new personal status law of khul'a.
